Here is a peek behind the curtain at some of the "treasures" that I have discovered going through my own family photos. I've been able to put names and faces together with information gleaned from Ancestry.com.

What mysteries await you in the mystery closet box?

Great Great Grandparents
Obviously they existed, I'd never heard their names before I found these pictures. He died in 1950, she died in 1970.
Grandpa
If you knew me around the 2nd Grade, you might think this was a special effect on one of my pictures. This is my dads dad. This is another picture I'd never seen before, and I'd heard my grandmother say I looked like my grandfather. Now I can see she was 100% correct.

I have so many questions.
The two smaller children are my great uncles, the larger one is their oldest brothers son. I wish I knew why there was an elephant and what appears to be a house for ants in the background.

Great Great Grandparents and children
I remember this photo being in a small frame at the end of the hallway at my grandparents house. The well dressed little man on the far right is my great grandfather, age 9, and this picture was taken in 1909. Great grandma bore 11 children in total. I imagine that's why she looks less than thrilled.
